Why choose A&H Mechanical for your duct cleaning

Air ducts are very important in every home. They help circulate the air from your heating and cooling systems to make your family more comfortable no matter the season. The air that circulates through your ducts is the same air that you and your family breathe, so the air must be clean at all times.

There are many reasons why cleaning the air ducts in your home is a good idea. When your ducts are dirty, the heating system is not effective because the dirt clogs the components.

Even though you are an ardent duster, your ducts might still have dust and dirt sticking to it,

Some people may try a DIY approach, but unless you have the right equipment, you can’t reach every nook and cranny of your home. There are many types of duct systems, that is why a professional duct cleaner is the best choice for anyone who wants clean air and a dust-free home.

A&H Mechanical  can access every part of your air duct (such as underground systems), and will make a difference in your air quality after cleaning the components of the system.

Here are 5 top reasons to call A&H Mechanical for your air duct cleaning service

  1. Cleaner air

Our professional duct cleaning service can eliminate dust that would otherwise be circulated through your home. Cleaner air means that your interior will require less cleaning and dusting to maintain a hygienic environment.

  1. Decreases allergens

Air ducts don’t only harbor dust, they sometimes contain harmful microorganisms such as pollen, pet dander, mildew, and other toxins. People who have asthma or any other respiratory conditions are especially sensitive to allergens. Frequent air duct cleaning promotes a healthier living space.

  1. Easier breathing

How can duct cleaning help if no one in your home has respiratory problems? The answer is simple, cleaner air will make it easier for everyone to breathe.

Even if you are healthy, contaminants in the air can cause allergic reactions like coughing and sneezing can also induce bronchial congestion, but with frequent cleaning, you will have a healthier environment. If you had to make a choice, what will you choose – clean or dirty air?

  1. Removes offensive smells and odors

The air quality of your home might already be tainted by pets, cleaning agents, paint fumes, mold and even food. These contaminants mix together repeatedly, flowing through your air duct system. Cleaning the ducts will remove these offensive odors, and create a fresher smelling home.

  1. Improve your air flow

A large build-up of dirt and dust can limit the flow of air through your duct. The system will need to work harder, just to heat up or cool your space. The decreased level of air-flow and efficiency can be made cost-effective by cleaning.

Duct cleaning definitions

Furnace:  A furnace is the heart of a central heating system. Furnaces typically use natural gas or propane as a fuel source.   Central to the operation of a furnace is a combustion chamber in which the fuel (natural gas or propane) is burned.  The combustion chamber becomes very hot then a fan blows air over the combustion chamber, that heated air is distributed through the ductwork into the various rooms of your house providing heat for your family.

Air Handler:  If you have a system that uses electricity instead of gas or propane to fuel your central heating system you will have an air handler.  Although they may look nearly identical, the main difference between a furnace and an air handler is that an air handler utilizes an electric heat pump to heat or cool the air.  The heat pump is a system mounted outside and connected by refrigerant lines mounted inline with the air handler.  The heat pump will be hot in the winter and cold in the summer changing the temperature of the air distributed throughout the house.

Air supply run:   The supply run is the ductwork that supplies heat or air conditioning from your furnace or air handler to an individual room in your house.

Return runs:  The return runs are connected to your central heating system and take air from your house and return it to the furnace or air handler for heating and cooling to redistribute air into your home.

Coil:  The coil is the set of refrigerant lines connected to the heat pump or air conditioning condensing unit that heats (on a heat pump) or cools the air heat pump or air conditioning condensing unit)

Dryer vent:  The dryer vent is the ductwork from your clothes dryer that pipes exhaust fumes from the dryer to a vent outside your house.
